Fees and Medicare Rebates

Fees are set well below the Australian Psychological Society recommended fee of $300 per hour.

From 1 January 2024, my fees will be $230 per one hour session. For clients who have a mental health care plan and a referral from their GP or Psychiatrist, they are entitled to a Medicare rebate

of $137.05 per session.

The gap payment per session is $92.95 with a mental health care plan and referral.

Face to face and Telehealth appointments (phone calls and video conference sessions) are available.

The cost per session without a mental health care plan for a standard individual consultation is $230. There is no rebate through Medicare without a mental health care plan and referral. You may be able to claim a rebate through your private health insurance if you have a policy that covers psychological treatment.

Payment can be made by cash, credit or debit card or bank transfer. The rebate can be processed at the time of the appointment and put back onto a debit card (card with a cheque or savings account attached) for in person appointments.  For telehealth appointments, the rebate can be processed for you and will go into a bank account you have linked with Medicare.

I will accept DVA Health Cards (Gold and White) as payment upon a GP DVA referral.

I will also accept payment by insurance companies under Workers Compensation if you have a claim number and your claim has been approved.

Health Fund Rebates

If you choose not to get a mental health care plan you may claim a rebate through your private health insurance if you are covered for psychological treatment. Please check your level of cover to ensure you can claim a rebate for psychological treatment.
